Live Illustration for Corporate Events and Galas
Give your guests a personal experience they can take home. I create elegant, fashion-inspired watercolor portraits live at company celebrations, galas, client receptions and Christmas events.
Each portrait is drawn in ink and watercolor while your guests watch the artwork take shape. This is not caricature drawing or a workshop, but a calm, high-quality live experience that fits naturally into your event programme.
I’m Fizah, the artist behind Manjachen Studio, based in Franconia, Bavaria. I work in English and German and travel throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland on request.

SEASONAL HIGHLIGHTS
Christmas Parties and Winter Events
Live illustration can add a personal and elegant element to a company Christmas party. While guests meet, dine or celebrate, I create watercolor portraits that become a memorable part of the evening and a personal keepsake afterwards.
The experience can work during a reception, dinner or dedicated activity period. If December dates are not suitable, January and February winter celebrations offer another opportunity to include live portraits in your programme.
Christmas dates are seasonal and limited, so early enquiries are recommended.
From Event Planning to Finished Portrait

I illustrate
I create elegant guest portraits in ink and watercolor during the event. The setup is compact and can be arranged at a fixed station or adapted for mobile work.

Frequently Asked Questions
These are the most common questions from corporate clients when planning live illustration for events, galas and client hospitality.
What exactly is live event illustration?
Live event illustration turns part of your programme into a personal guest experience. During your corporate celebration, gala, client reception or Christmas event, I create elegant, fashion‑inspired watercolor portraits of your guests in real time.
For you as the organiser, this means:
-
A personal alternative to standard giveaways such as flyers, generic cards or branded trinkets.
-
A thank‑you moment that feels individual and high‑end, not mass‑produced.
-
A quiet, artistic element that supports your brand image without taking over the event.
Guests watch their portrait being created, then take the finished artwork home as a keepsake connected to your company and your evening.
Is it the same as caricature drawing
No. My work is not caricature drawing and it is not humorous or exaggerated.
I focus on fashion‑inspired portraiture: clothing, posture, line and colour. The style is elegant and flattering, with a calm, professional presence on site.
For corporate clients, this matters because:
-
It fits formal events, galas and client hospitality where tone and brand image are important.
-
It creates a sophisticated guest experience rather than a comedy act.
-
It aligns with a growing trend in Germany and the DACH region for personal, artistic entertainment at corporate events, rather than traditional party games or generic performers.
How many guests can be illustrated per hour?
On average, I create around 6–10 portraits per hour, depending on the style, guest flow and event schedule.
This range is intentional:
-
It keeps the quality high and the experience calm.
-
It avoids long queues or a “production line” feeling.
-
It allows time for brief interaction with each guest.
For larger guest numbers, live illustration can be combined with additional portraits created after the event.
Can the illustrations include our branding?
Yes. Live illustration is often used as a subtle form of brand activation and personalisation.
Portrait paper can be prepared with your company logo or brand name. The branding remains a supporting detail so the artwork still feels personal and elegant, not like a promotional item.
For you, this means:
-
Your brand is present in a tasteful, high‑end way.
-
Guests associate your company with a memorable, personal experience.
-
The artwork becomes a keepsake that carries your brand home, not just a one‑night entertainment moment.
Please share your branding requirements during the enquiry stage so the paper and design can be discussed and prepared in advance.
Can you work with large guest numbers?
Yes. My typical capacity is 6–10 guests per hour, but the right approach depends on your event size and goals.
Options for larger events include:
-
Defining a realistic live portrait capacity for the booked hours.
-
Extending the duration of the live illustration.
-
Creating additional portraits after the event for guests who were not illustrated on site.
-
Bringing a team of artists when a higher volume of portraits is required.
This allows you to offer a personal experience without compromising quality or creating long waiting times.
Do you provide everything required?
I provide my professional art materials, paper and illustration equipment. The paper is prepared and printed in my studio before the event. If the venue lighting is dim, I can also bring additional lighting.
At the venue, I need:
-
A table and chair.
-
A suitable, visible location where I am not hidden, so guests can see the work in progress.
-
A well‑lit position; a nearby power socket is helpful.
This keeps the setup compact and easy to integrate into receptions, dinners and evening programmes.
Can you work in English and German?
Yes. I work in both English and German and can adapt the communication and interaction at the table accordingly.
This is useful for:
-
International companies and teams.
-
Events with mixed German and English speakers.
-
Client hospitality where a professional, bilingual presence matters.
Where are you available?
I am based in Bavaria, Germany and travel regularly for work throughout Germany. Events in Austria, Switzerland and other European destinations can also be considered.
Travel within approximately 80 km of my studio can be included in the starting package. For evening events that finish late and require more than approximately one hour of travel, overnight accommodation is usually necessary. This can be arranged directly by the client or included in the proposal.
What kind of corporate events is this suitable for?
Live illustration works well for events where guest experience, hospitality and brand image matter.
Typical corporate occasions include:
-
Company celebrations and staff parties.
-
Galas, award ceremonies and milestone evenings.
-
Client receptions, VIP events and relationship‑building evenings.
-
Corporate anniversaries and jubilees.
-
Christmas parties and winter celebrations.
-
Selected boutique, fashion and lifestyle brand events.
For trade fairs, exhibitions and booth activations, there is a separate service focused on visitor engagement and brand activation: Live Illustration for Trade Fairs and Brand Activations.
How does live illustration support our event goals?
From an organiser’s perspective, live illustration helps with several common goals:
-
Guest appreciation: A personal, high‑end thank‑you instead of a standard giveaway.
-
Memorability: Guests remember the experience and the host long after the event.
-
Conversation starter: The live creation of artwork naturally brings people together.
-
Brand alignment: A calm, artistic format that fits premium or design‑led brands.
-
Content: The process and finished portraits create natural photo and social media moments.
It is not a replacement for your entire entertainment programme, but a focused, elegant element within it.
How early should we book for Christmas or year‑end events?
For Christmas and year‑end events, many companies finalise entertainment between late summer and early autumn. Popular December dates can be booked early.
If you are planning a Christmas party or winter celebration:
-
Enquiring several months in advance gives you more choice of dates and times.
-
January and February winter events are often easier to schedule and can use the same format.
Can additional portraits be created after the event?
Yes. If not all guests can be illustrated during the event, additional portraits can be created afterwards.
These can be based on:
-
Photographs taken on site by your photographer or mine.
-
Approved images you provide after the event.
Prices for post‑event portraits as original artwork start at €80 per person. Please ask for an individual quote based on your requirements.
What information do you need to prepare a proposal?
To prepare a tailored proposal, it is helpful to know:
-
Your event date (or approximate period).
-
Location and venue.
-
Event type (gala, company party, client event, Christmas party, etc.).
-
Approximate number of guests.
-
Preferred duration of live illustration.
-
Any branding or personalisation requirements.
-
Whether the event is in English, German or mixed language.
You can share these details in the enquiry form. I will review them and respond with a customised proposal.
